Enterprise solution for client onboarding and KYC
A major Swiss bank chose Fenergo CLM as their enterprise solution for client onboarding and KYC — their desire being to streamline processes and reduce the time to onboard and generate revenue. Starting in the US, the asset management division implemented their base solution in 2021 on a well-tried and tested version of the Fenergo software.
Following that first phase, Zoreza Global was engaged as the client’s implementation partner in mid-2021 to propel their rollout globally. The original scope would see a consolidation of the US and Swiss platforms into a harmonized global model, initially enabling the onboarding of 500+ Swiss clients and thereafter catering for multi-jurisdiction capability for rest-of-the-world deployment. Functional and usability improvements requested by the client would involve a major software upgrade. In addition, to meet the client’s end-to-end digital transformation objectives, an integration with their CRM system would also fall in scope.
This was no ordinary systems integration undertaking. The client also embarked on a number of strategic agile transformation objectives which had to be evaluated along with the Fenergo technology plans.
Objectives and key results
Essentially, business value had to be prioritized, delivered and measured on a quarterly basis. Zoreza Global had to replan the program and convert a traditional waterfall approach into a more agile form of delivery. Zoreza Global provided a client advisory service with staff employed directly by the program sponsors to assist with CLM functional and operational assessment and to extract as much value as possible from their investment.
Infrastructure transformation
This is a common problem faced by many organizations and often creates significant internal friction. To address this, a group-wide program was mobilized to migrate applications from legacy hosting to Azure cloud. The Fenergo implementation fell into the scope of this program in parallel with the implementation. Zoreza Global assessed the impact and advised the client on the redesign of the infrastructure, providing expertise in cloud transformation.
Zero-touch deployments
Associated with both reducing time to market and removing human error from processes, a high level of automation had to be scripted. Zoreza Global led this challenge to success by partnering with the client’s technology operations team and Fenergo.
There was no precedent for this level of complex change. Despite many technical and organizational challenges, all parties adapted very quickly in light of a constant stream of new information and hurdles, leading to a successful implementation in September 2022. The platform will now act as a springboard to complete the client’s digital and agile transformation objectives.
