Pradnesh Nalawade is a Consultant working at Excelian Zoreza Global Financial Services. He joined Excelian as a result of the acquisition of derivIT. He specializes in Datamart Reporting. Pradnesh was recently given the opportunity to relocate from India to Singapore.
Can you tell us about your experience and background before Excelian?
I was employed at derivIT from 2015 and then joined Excelian through its acquisition of derivIT in 2017. Before derivIT, I worked for an Indian company, which mostly supported Murex and Oracle clients. I have been doing Murex-related projects for derivIT and continued to do so for Excelian. The transition was quite smooth and there were no drastic changes for me. I really enjoy working at Excelian.
What are you working on at Excelian?
I am working with exposure of different scopes within Murex. When I just joined derivIT, I was doing a development part on different migration projects. Excelian gave me an opportunity to explore my talent, learn how different banks approach their day-to-day activities and how reporting is carried out. This is what I learned from working here.
What do you like most about Excelian?
I really like the openness: I can talk to a manager and project leaders about challenges or changing projects even - and find solutions quickly. It is a good sign because if a person is not happy with the project, they will not give their best to it.
Can you tell us a little bit more about your relocation to Singapore?
I came to Singapore in the summer of 2018. I found out there was an opening there, so I made a request, which started my relocation process.
What is your impression of Singapore? How quickly did you adapt to a new country?
It is not much different from where I come from. People are great here, and that is what I like a lot. People are very supportive, and it is a great location to live and work.
What was your relocation experience like? Was it an easy process?
It was quite efficient. Zoreza Global provides an easy way to get through each relocation step. Everyone was very helpful from day one, and I managed to get all the approvals quite fast. It all went according to a well-established process and was very well-managed.
Did you happen to learn new skills here?
Yes, I learned management skills and the way of working within different teams.
Would you recommend Internal Mobility to your colleagues and friends?
Yes, of course. I know some of them are already using it. It is so well-organized and so easy. In case of relocation, everything is taken care of, and you won’t have to worry about the relocation process at all. The program covers everything.
What would your advice be for those who are aspiring to build a career at Excelian?
It is a really good place to work. Join us!
